• The canvas stretcher has to be not only of excellent quality, but also sufficiently thick. This removes the risk of warping.
• A well woven canvas does not have any visible knots or loose threads in the linen or cotton. A good quality canvas is carefully prepared in order to ensure optimal adhesion of the applied paint.
• An acid-free primer ensures furthermore that the paint does not penetrate the canvas or becomes visible at the back of the canvas.
